Last month, we released our vision for a compassionate and effective response to New Zealand’s drug issues. Whakawātea te Huarahi proposes a complete overhaul of our drug laws, replacing conviction with treatment and cannabis prohibition with regulation. Register now! Watch the Livestream via Facebook, 11.50am Thursday 14 September.
We’re keeping up the momentum with a new Speaker and Soup series that’s intended to show people what Whakawātea te Huarahi is and how we think it will work. Our resident expert, Senior Policy Adviser Kali Mercier, will answer your questions, and there will be lots of time for discussion. We encourage your feedback, so we can develop the best model we possibly can.
Join us for some delicious soup and bread rolls, and some intelligent discussion about constructive ways to achieve an Aotearoa free from drug harm.
Right now, with the election approaching, genuine change is within our grasp. We don’t want to miss this opportunity, and you can help. Please share the details with your networks and help us spread the word. Please register in advance, as places are limited.
